What is “Community Education”?

Community Education provides lifelong learning experiences for people of all ages, abilities, and cultures through community hosted programs. These programs are offered as a community service by members of our community; they are not a solicitation of funds or services. Glenrock Community Education offers enrichment classes, recreation and youth development opportunities, and trips and tours the whole family can enjoy.

Who can participate in Community Education?

Our educational opportunities are available to everyone in Converse County; however, we have geared some classes to specific age groups. Please review the course descriptions to determine which classes you and your family would benefit from most.

How much do classes cost?

Instructors volunteer their time to help us offer enrichment opportunities at reasonable prices. And while we desire to provide these classes to everyone in our community free of charge, we do have to cover the costs of materials and supplies. Please review each class’s description for more information about cost.

Do you provide transportation?

In order to keep costs down, we do not provide transportation. We do, however, encourage you to build relationships and carpool with other members of your class.

I missed the class I wanted to take. Will you offer it again?

We offer community education classes on a seasonal basis as interest and instructors allow. We try to offer popular courses during multiple seasons, but we cannot guarantee that a class or enrichment opportunity will be available every season. We encourage you to check our course offerings often for new (and returning favorite) learning opportunities.
